Children and Youth

NEW THIS YEAR: Enhanced Youth Programming!

Childcare

Congregation Darchei Noam is pleased to provide childcare for children older than 18 months but not yet entering grade 1 this September. This service is offered during all services, excluding Erev Rosh Hashanah. We provide a safe, creative place for your child, along with age-appropriate programming that reflects the kavanah (intention) of the Holy Days. Snacks are provided, and activities are led by Darchei Noam’s teens.

Registration for childcare is mandatory.  Children can be registered while High Holy Day tickets are on sale.

Children's Programming

For children who are entrering grade 1 or older and have not had their Bar/Bat Mitzvah, we offer engaging Children's Programming. This programming will be open during all service times except Erev Rosh Hashanah and Minchah/Ne'ilah on Yom Kippur. It is not necessary to register your child in advance.

Family Services

Offered for the first day of Rosh Hashanah, Kol Nidre and Yom Kippur morning, the Family Service at Darchei Noam aims to create meaningful High Holy Day experiences for families with school-aged children. Complete with age-appropriate interpretations of prayer, song, and learning, they are led by our talented prayer leaders with help from our Darchei Noam teens. Join us for a musical and engaging way to mark the High Holy Days with the whole family. Family services are led by our Director of Youth Education and Programming, along with a dynamic music leader.
