This is the first of our five part series on Jewish Poets of the 20th Century. This session will focus on the life and poetry of Poland’s Jewish “National Poet”, Julian Tuwim. The session will be led by Myer Siemiatycki, and will include a discussion of the biography of Tuwim, his influences and his lasting influence in Poland, as well as several readings of Tuwim’s poems in translation.
