We are taking advantage of his presence and his longstanding and valued association with our community to explore the theme of the relevance of Mordechai Kaplan as we imagine our Judaism for the 21st century. Rabbi Hirsh will speak at our Oneg Shabbat, deliver the D’var Torah at Shabbat services and present the Elka Klein lecture Sunday night. The topic will be “Spirituality without Supernaturalism: Renewing the Relevance of Mordechai Kaplan. The presentations will help us discover and explore meaning to our practice and beliefs.
