Bar-Bat Mitzvah at Darchei Noam
Welcome to our Bar/Bat Mitzvah Program
~
"The Darchei Noam B’nei Mitzvah program was an outstanding experience for Gwen and for us! The B'nei Mitzvah kids were a cohort that met every two weeks, and even though it was online, they were outstanding experiences. The kids were extremely supported by Rabbi Tina and the DN educators, and were able to tackle meaningful Tikun Olam projects. the shul was great in involving our entire family in a memorable and meaningful event for Gwen"- Gordon
At Darchei Noam we are proud to provide a deeply immersive program, developed by our inspiring Rabbi, Tina Grinberg and our devoted and skilled educators. With a caring attitude and robust support, our goal is to engage and inspire our students – not only for their special day but also to plant the seeds for a future that includes a meaningful Jewish life.
Our Curriculum leans heavily on experiential, hands-on learning. Of the 20 classes that comprise the B’Nei Mitzvah program, virtually all go beyond a lecture to include an active component that we know our young people have responded to enthusiastically and with curiosity.
Most classes are held on a Sunday, which is helpful for families with younger children attending our Sunday Hebrew School.
Some classes will be held on Saturdays so that our Bar/Bat Mitzvah students can experience the Sanctuary. We know this exposure to Saturday services helps them to feel better prepared and able to visualize excellence on their own special day. And, of course, students can attend and enjoy the Bar/Bat Mitzvah services of their classmates and join in those celebrations.
