[Back to main schedule]

BACK AGAIN THIS YEAR: Enhanced Youth Programming!

Congregation Darchei Noam is pleased to provide programming for children who are at least 18 months old and have not yet had their Bar/Bat Mitzvah.

Children's Programming

Children age five and under can accompany you to all services without having a paid ticket. However, programming for children older than 18 months but not yet entering grade 1 will also be available during all prayer services, except Erev Rosh Hashanah. Pre-registration is mandatory, and the program costs $50 for guests of Darchei Noam. To take advantage of this service, please submit a completed Children's Programming Registration Form along with your ticket order form.

Youth Programming

There will also be engaging youth programming available for children who are entering grade 1 or older and have not had their Bar/Bat Mitzvah. It is offered during all prayer services except Erev Rosh Hashanah. Highlights include a woodworking workshop, a Shofar presentation, apples & honey, music, yoga and storytelling! It is not necessary to register your child in advance, although everyone attending needs a ticket.

Family Services

Offered for the first day of Rosh Hashanah, Kol Nidre and Yom Kippur morning, the Family Service at Darchei Noam aims to create meaningful High Holy Day experiences for families with school-aged children. Complete with age-appropriate interpretations of prayer, song, and learning, they are led by our talented prayer leaders with help from our Darchei Noam teens. Join us for a musical and engaging way to mark the High Holy Days with the whole family. Family services are led by Ariel Zaltzman, our Director of Youth Education and Programming, along with a dynamic music leader.

Special Children's Service

On the second day of Rosh Hashanah, Darchei Noam offers a special service aimed exclusively at children. This fun, musical, and interactive service is led by our Hebrew School teachers and young counselors from Darchei Noam, and is designed so that older children can attend on their own. Although primarily geared towards children aged 8 and over, we welcome younger children to attend with their parents as well.
