Two people claim to be indigenous to one piece of land. We will explore the claims of each, looking at the definition of, and current criteria for indigeneity; oral and written history, genealogical and linguistic data, and more. Can both peoples be indigenous to the land? If so – or if not – how does this affect the future reality of that land?
